As the resident Body mod i think i would like to stress that its important for all to know, slimming is great for self esteem but once it becomes dangerous - & affects fertility or even health its bad.

There is nothing in this world that can reverse Bad health & the effects of infertility or problems conceiving.

Oh u might think you are not getting married or its so dar off but i have come up with a guideline for you to measure yourself to make sure roughly that you are moderate in your slimming efforts.

If you are eating more fruits & vegs & meat mainly, & exercising to slim down - Thumbs up - it takes great discipline - u are on your way to better health as well.

note on fats - please make sure that you are within the recommended body fat ratio for your height, gender & age.

URL for Fat ratio standards search for one that is age related as well for a better guage.

Women 21-24% Ideal, note 10-12% is the range to stay alive - & is not a healthy range.

If the body has too little fats - it can stop menstrating as survival is more important than reproduction - the brains will tell the body this. & this can affect fertility too in the long run. If you are under weight or have a lot fat body ratio & also have irregular mensus - you might want to slowly increase say whole cream milk intake & monitor over say 6mths if your mensus stabilises - if it does - not enough fat in the body coudl be the reason.

Dont take any same slimming pills/fat burner supplement/slimming tea for more than 3 mths. - take it regularily to see the results then give yourself 1-3mths break from it.

when you are in doubt always consult your doctor if you are doing the right thing.

Remember our body is ours forever - for better or worse. Love it or lose it.

What type of waistband is it? Is it elastic? If so, just stretch the pants over the back of a chair, that will make the waist bigger.  It it is like, denim or not an elastic waistband, wash them in cold water, then put the waistband part of the pants around something bigger than your waist.  Fabric stretches easier when it's wet.

Provided you wear a shirt that would cover the waist band, you can loop a rubber bad through the button hole & wrap it around the button. It will only give you a couple inches unless you're leaving the zipper down though.

You could also use a waistband stretcher (http://www.bakertowne.com/catalog/item.php?unid=269) but it won't give you much either.

open the side seems or even the rear seam and add material the back seam is usually easiest and even has a little extra fabric making that seem. you will have to remove the waist band and add material to it also. depending on how much bigger and the type of pants you could pleat the added material  to help hide the stitching you opened just make a new center seem and pleat the added to hide old seem.
