The owner of a golf course in Palmerston
cheap golf clubs North that has been ordered to close to protect a neighbouring organic farm plans to appeal against the decision.
On Monday, Palmerston North District Court gave Brookfields Park Golf Club until 30 November to close.
Judge Nevin Dawson said 20,000 golf balls were hit into the Organic Farm Company's property since 2002, which was a workplace hazard.

Farm owner James Tait-Jamieson said hay or silage couldn't be made from crops in the paddocks surrounding the golf course. He said the court decision meant the farm's future organic rating would be safe.
Brooksfield Park Golf Club owner Don Finlayson, plans to appeal against the decision.

Manawatu and Whanganui Golf executive officer David Townend says the court ruling was unprecedented and may spark other companies to take legal action against the country's golf courses.
